Hi, I’m Renee.
I’m stoked you’ve come this far! Here’s a little more about me and a little proof that I have something to offer.
I’ve dabbled in a little study and hold a Bachelor of Human Services and a Masters in Mental Health Practice.
I’ve been working in the Human Services/Community sector for around 15 years across both non-government and in the public service, a lot of the time in start up or pilot programs.
I spent four years with the NDIA primarily supporting Service Providers and Sole Traders navigate and thrive in the NDIS landscape. I also worked on the development of Support Coordination policy, including the measures taken during the peak of COVID.
I then decided to take a trip back to the NFP space where I had some fun leading and managing the suite of NDIS services they offered – yep, it’s been a big and very fun few years..! All of this had led me here, where I’m confident I have something to offer Service Providers who are keen to invest in their most valuable assets.. the people they serve, their staff and their broader organisation.
Working in this industry is not just a career, for me it feels more like my life’s work.
My Approach
I’m a big believer that we are all in this together. To make the NDIS the best it can be for those who fought for it and those who need it, we need to work collaboratively and embrace opportunities of co-design with people using the NDIS, and their families.
At the heart of most Service Providers I’ve worked with is the mission offer high quality, innovative and honest supports to their customers. My add value is to work with Service Providers and Sole Traders alike who are super committed to their customers and want to build on the great work they are doing to ensure they remain relevant and offering the high quality supports they set out to deliver.
My approach is honest, down to earth and candid with a whole lot of passion to boot!
What I value
-
A commitment to contributing to a genuinely more inclusive and accessible community
-
I serve with the intention to do my part in seeing better outcomes for people living with disability
-
Not everyone likes the same flavour of service provision, nor should they. I’m passionate about services getting clear on what they can offer and striving to do that to the best of their ability goes here
-
Resisting the urge to be all things to all people (aka independence of service). Sure, there are times where the one provider is best placed to offer Support Coordination and other services, but let’s not make a habit of it and instead work together in the best interest of people with disabilities
-
Whilst I may be working with multiple providers that offer the same services as you, you can be guaranteed that your information and IP are in safe hands.
-
Yes, we’re working in a more competitive market, but I really like to think of it as co-opetition – a competitive marketplace that look to find ways of working alongside one another for the benefit of the NDIS.
-
We are all in this together! Honest and genuine connections are vital for the NDIS to function and also important for us to share experience, ideas and ways of doing things differently to better meet the needs of people with disability and strengthen the disability sector
-
It’s a non-negotiable! There is so much opportunity and it would be doing ourselves a disservice not to have a little (or a lot) of fun whilst working in the NDIS space
